'Diagonal Bowie' Sueded Felt Fedora
This Fedora is my take on the classic hat that stylish men and women have worn for decades. It is hand sculpted in a heavier weight sueded felt that has a beautiful soft finish. The hat has a hand shaped tear drop crown with a diagonal fold which gives contrast to the curves in the body of the hat. This style is well proportioned for men and women with a 4.5" crown that is deep enough for men's face shapes and not too tall for a woman. I finished this design soon after David Bowie passed away and because it reminded me of photos of him over the years in fedoras I named it after him.
The hat has 4.5" crown and a 2.5" brim.
Materials and Techniques: Free Form Blocked Sueded Fur Felt. The hat has a hand sewn grosgrain ribbon inner head band and 1.5" Hat band with a hand sewn diagonal folded detail.
