'Adda' Straw Tam/Beret
This light, flexible straw beret style hat is an interpretation of a Scottish wool Tam Hat. The hat is hand shaped and sewn with a sculpted hollow 'button' on top in reference to the traditional pom-pom or knot in the tam. Adda is the name of two powerful women from the Scottish side of my family, so I thought it a fitting moniker for this stylish and timeless style.
Materials and Techniques: Free form blocked and hand sewn parisisal Straw with a hand sewn grosgrain ribbon inner head band.
